We want every student to become a lifelong disciple of Jesus who belongs to the multiethnic community of VC Students
We want every student to:
- Know God’s love + experience His power
- Live redemptively in the world
- Serve others and invest in the church
- Invite friends in a winsome way
What We Do
Middle School Sunday Morning
During First Service at All Campuses
One of our priorities is to see students meaningfully connect to the local church. We want students to know what it’s like to worship, serve and hear messages in a multigenerational context. We know that the transition from the Elementary experience of VC Kids into a Main service on Sunday morning can be overwhelming. We offer Middle School Sunday Morning to aid in the transition of seeing students plugged into the local church. Middle School students who would like to opt into this experience sit in a student section and experience worship in the Main service. After worship students are welcomed to join our MS Sunday Morning where we offer an age appropriate lesson, game and breakdown for discussion. Our ultimate goal is to see students opt to stay in Main Service as they feel more comfortable.
What We Do
Student Night
6th–12th Grade | Sunday Nights 6-8pm | All Campuses
A time to experience God, have fun and build community! Student Night is our Sunday night gathering for students in grades 6-12th. At our Student Nights you can expect worship, relevant teachings, snacks, games, and Crews. (Crews are our in-house small groups split by grade for discussion) Student Night is run on a regular schedule with built in breaks for our leaders and staff throughout the year.
Our friends are some of the most important people in our lives. Our friends know us best. They're the people we've spent countless hours with telling stories, laughing, and creating memories together. We all know having great friendships means a lot more than just having people to hang out with, but how do you find friends like that? How do you build the kinds of friendships that last? And what do you do if you feel like your friendships aren't everything you'd want them to be? In this series from the Gospels, we'll take a look at how Jesus treated the people he cared about in order to learn how we can better treat our friends. Through Jesus' example, we'll discover that friends don't miss a chance to care for each other, aren't afraid to challenge each other, don't let difference divide them, and aren't afraid to talk about what they believe.
I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me. Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.
